The Colorado Mammoth fell to the Washington Stealth 11-8 on Sunday in Everett, Wash., in a National Lacrosse League game as the teams split the home-and-home series.
Colorado (8-2), playing its second consecutive game without NLL scoring leader John Grant Jr. (upper-body injury), got three goals from Sean Pollock and four assists from Adam Jones.
The Mammoth returns to action March 23 at home against the Philadelphia Wings at 7 p.m.
DeLoach second in world indoor meet. Former CSU All-American Janay DeLoach placed second in the long jump at the world indoor championships in Istanbul.
DeLoach recorded a distance of 22 feet, 10¾ inches, which gave her the top spot before American teammate Brittney Reese bested her with a championship-record jump of 23-8¾ to place first.
AFA swimmer qualifies. Air Force freshman Kimberly Davis qualified for the U.S. Olympic swimming trials with a time of 2 minutes, 35.06 seconds in the 200-meter breaststroke at the Columbus Grand Prix in Columbus, Ohio. Davis placed eighth overall.
