DURANGO, Colo.—A Colorado company is giving oil shippers more time to contract for capacity on its proposed High Prairie Pipeline from North Dakota to Minnesota.
The original deadline to make a commitment was this Friday, but Durango-based Saddle Butte Pipeline LLC said Wednesday it is extending the deadline to April 5 at the request of shippers.
The roughly 450-mile, 16-inch-diameter pipeline would begin north of Alexander, N.D., and end near Clearbrook, Minn.
The company also proposes building a 17-mile lateral connecting the pipeline to Johnsons Corner, N.D., and an 8-mile lateral starting near Robinson Lake, N.D.
The pipeline is projected to be in service in late 2013.
