Getting your player ready...
FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Colorado State point guard Cody Mann is leaving the men’s basketball team and says he hopes to play somewhere closer to his Miami home.
The freshman told the Coloradoan ( ) on Wednesday that his lack of playing time as the sixth guard behind Dorian Green, Wes Eikmeier, Jesse Carr, Kaipo Sabas and Dwight Smith this year also was a factor in deciding to leave.
He hasn’t chosen his next school yet.
Colorado State granted Mann the release last week after he met with former coach Tim Miles, who left to become the new coach at Nebraska.
Mann says the coaching change was not a factor in his decision.
