The University of Colorado moved from No. 14 to No. 11 in the national rankings for women’s college golf. The Buffs are coming off consecutive tournament wins for the first time in school history.
• Wyoming’s Juanita Rico was selected the Mountain West women’s golfer of the month for March. The senior placed in the top 20 in each of the Cowgirls’ four tournament appearances in March, including two top-five finishes.
CU skiers at alpine champs. University of Colorado skier Adam Zika placed 11th in the slalom Thursday in the U.S. Alpine Championships at Winter Park. Buffs Katie Hartman and Erika Ghent finish eighth and 10th, respectively, in the women’s slalom Wednesday.
DU hosts ECAC tournament. After claiming last season’s inaugural Eastern College Athletic Conference lacrosse championship, the University of Denver will host the four-team event at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. The ECAC semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday, May 2, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The title game will be Friday, May 4, beginning at 4 p.m.
