GREELEY, Colo.—A makeshift man camp is angering officials in Weld County.

An RV park is being used to house oil and gas field workers. Officials found out about it after a septic tank began overflowing, causing a health risk.

County Commission Chairman Sean Conway says the park owner shouldn’t be renting out trailers to men looking for temporary housing. The county says the park has committed several planning and health violations.

The Denver Post ( ) reported Monday that the camp owner is facing a May 2 hearing to determine whether a permit to operate the site should be revoked.

The park would have to be annexed to the city of Greeley to be hooked up to a sewer line. The owner previously told The Greeley Tribune that would be too expensive.
