
Boulder police are looking for a man suspected of grabbing a 22-year-old woman as she walked down a bike path.
Around 7:31 p.m. Saturday, the woman was walking in the 300 block of Canyon Boulevard when the suspect allegedly grabbed her around the neck, waist and thighs, according to a news release from the Boulder Police Department.
The woman fought back and may have kicked the man in the groin area. He quickly let go and the woman fled. She had several scratches but no additional injuries.
The suspect was last seen walking south on Sixth Street near the Criminal Justice Center. Officers and police dogs from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Department scoured the area but did not find the suspect.
The man is wanted for attempted sexual assault.
The suspect was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, in his 50s with white hair in a long ponytail. He had a brown and white beard about 6 inches in length and a missing front tooth.
He was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans and carrying a backpack. He also appeared dirty and smelled bad.
