Frontier Airlines reports its traffic decreased 1 percent, to 1.1 billion revenue passengers miles in March, while capacity decreased 3 percent, to 1.3 billion available seat miles.
The Denver-based carrier served 1.2 million passengers in March, a 7 percent decrease from March 2011. For the month, Frontier had a load factor of 86.3 percent compared to 84.4 percent a year earlier. It was the ninth-consecutive record monthly load factor.
“Our effective capacity deployment and high-value product are continuing to generate excellent load-factor performance,” Frontier senior vice president Daniel Shurz said in a statement.
