BAYFIELD, Colo.—Four people from New Mexico are facing burglary charges after a Colorado man accused them of distracting him while his rifles were stolen.

Bobby McCoy of Bayfield says he was talking to two women in a pickup truck when a relative saw two people leave the house with the weapons.

The La Plata County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lionel McCall of Aztec, N.M., and Marcus Whittenburg of Farmington on suspicion of burglary after they were found hiding in bushes near the victim’s home.

Tiffany Pope of Farmington and Amanda Cole of Bloomfield were arrested after police stopped a pickup truck matching the description.

All four suspects were being held Tuesday on $25,000 bail at the La Plata County jail.
