The 15th annual Mullen Runners Roost, one of the must-see track and field events before Colorado approaches championships next month in Lakewood, will be an all-day affair Saturday at Brother Bernard Kinneavy de La Salle Stadium, off South Lowell and Hampden.
Once again, coach John Hancock has assembled perhaps the season’s best field. George Washington’s girls excel in hurdles, sprints and jumps. Other outstanding girls teams include Cherry Creek, Loveland and Thompson Valley. In fact, entries will be from across Colorado, including Durango, Grand Junction, Monarch (Louisville) and Vista Ridge (Colorado Springs)
But watch the skies — temperatures will be colder and rain is possible.
