Contest for communities
Nature Hills Nursery is accepting applications for its Green America Awards, which annually doles out thousands of dollars in plants and materials to organizations that are improving the environment with new trees, bushes and shrubs. Past recipients have included a soil-erosion project, an abandoned lot-reclamation project, a refurbished park space and a wildlife habitat. Four prizes from $500 to $2,000 will be awarded this year.
