A small plane crashed in Arapahoe County this afternoon east of Centennial Airport.
The single engine Beechcraft Bonanza failed to gain altitude after take-off, crashed through a fence and onto the road at South Potomac Street and County Line Road, according to Becky O’Guin, spokeswoman for the South Metro Fire Department.
The plane had a fuel leak and firefighters were on the scene, she said at 8:45 p.m.
The pilot, the only person in the plane, was transported to a nearby hospital.
