FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Police on Thursday charged three Colorado State University football players with disorderly conduct following an off-campus brawl earlier this month.

Colton Paulhus, Michael Orakpo and Nordly Capi were charged with misdemeanors for their roles in the fight on April 6. Another CSU student, Donald Gocha, also was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Capi and Paulhus are junior defensive ends for the CSU Rams. Orakpo is a junior linebacker. The players were suspended from the team after the fight.

Witnesses reported the fight began when seven men riding in an SUV exchanged words with another group walking on a Fort Collins street. Two people, including Gocha, were seriously injured.

CSU head coach Jim McElwain said Thursday the incident “remains under university investigation.” He declined further comment.
