LORMAN, Miss.—Alcorn State University president Dr. M. Christopher Brown says a new football coach will be named after the Braves’ spring game Saturday in Lorman.
The Vicksburg Post reports () four candidates were interviewed this week.
The candidates are current director of football operations Todd McDaniel, former Southern Miss and Memphis defensive coordinator Jay Hopson, Northern Colorado offensive coordinator Michael Armour and former Kentucky State head coach Fredrick Farrier.
Hopson is white while the other three candidates are black.
Each of the candidates rotated through four one-hour sessions, at various meeting rooms across the Lorman campus. One session was with ASU administrators, another with faculty and staff, another with students and a fourth with members of the community.
