The Sea Shepherd put up a good fight last year. And it seemed like they won. But the hearty souls intent on halting the Japanese whalers are back for another confrontation, this time aiming to put an end to an ancient tradition known as “The Grind” that takes place each summer in the Faroe Islands between Iceland and Scotland.
“Whale Wars: Viking Shores” is a new five-parter premiering tonight at 9 p.m. on Animal Planet. Warning, viewers should know that at a certain point in tonight’s episode, titled “Bad Blood,” the water turns red.
