ASPEN – — Wolf Camera in downtown Aspen appears to have gone out of business, seemingly overnight.
“I’m still trying to figure out what happened myself,” said property manager Rob Snyder, of Robert J. Snyder Real Estate. “I have absolutely no idea what their intentions are. I have not heard a word.”
Snyder said that as of a week ago, it was business as usual at the camera shop — the only such business in town. The rent was paid through April, and the lease is signed through November.
“They’re current on their rent, and we’ve never had a problem with them. That’s what’s so odd,” Snyder said. “They have been stellar tenants.”
On Monday, however, the doors were locked, the shelves were cleared, and trash was strewn across the floor. A sign on the door offering 50 percent off read, “Store Closing Sale,” but gave no other information.
