Upon first listen, is not the most accessible band in the world. Lead singer Kate Cooper has a raspy whine that falls in and out of key, but there’s no escaping the sheer earnestness in her voice. Drummer Damon Cox drives the songs forward with a pop/punk sensibility and a pounding-machine-gun snare (check out “Leave Me” for a better idea of what we mean).
