Getting your player ready...
DENVER—Parental involvement is being credited with helping third-graders hold the line on reading tests this year.
This year, students statewide tested nearly 74 percent proficient or advanced, up from 73 percent in 2011.
The report comes from the Colorado Department of Education, which released preliminary results of the annual statewide third-grade reading tests Wednesday.
According to the Denver Post ( ), the third-grade results are being released ahead of the rest of standardized test scores because those results are considered crucial in determining a child’s likelihood of success in school.
