Three people have been transported to the hospital after a Colorado State Trooper discovered a serious car accident while on patrol.

Trooper Heather Cobler, a spokeswoman for CSP, said the accident was discovered just before 3 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 47 and County Road 54 in southeast Greeley.

One person was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. Two others were transported by ambulance. Their conditions are not yet known.
