Afternoon commuters are being advised to avoid Peoria Street at Interstate 70 after a traffic accident involving a police officer.
Denver police spokeswoman Raqual Lopez said a motorcycle officer was knocked over, but was not seriously injured.
“He was taken to a hospital to be checked out, but he appears to be OK,” she said.
Shortly after the accident, she did not yet have information on the cause of the accident
