FORT CARSON, Colo.—A military judge is holding a hearing for a Fort Carson soldier charged with murder in the November death of his 2-year-old nephew.
The hearing for Pfc. Jason A. Price started Tuesday and is continuing Wednesday. It will help determine whether Price should face a court-martial over the death of Kevin Perez Rosa.
Charging documents indicate the toddler suffered blunt force trauma to the head at Fort Carson on Nov. 5.
The Gazette reports ( ) that an Army investigator testified Tuesday that the boy’s 4-year-old brother said he saw Price throw the boy on the kitchen floor.
Price is charged with premeditated murder. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole and a dishonorable discharge.
