IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo.—Officials at the University of Denver are trying to determine the amount of damage to an observatory on Mount Evans after a windstorm knocked off a door and left the telescope exposed for the winter.
Officials don’t even know whether the telescope can be repaired
According to the Denver Post ( ), the observatory is the highest in the United States at 14,000 feet, and the third-highest in the world.
