The Rapids re-signed forward Omar Cummings to a multiyear contract, the team announced Friday. Per league and team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Cummings, 29, is in his sixth season with Colorado. He has played 130 regular-season games for the Rapids. He has a total of 36 goals and 26 assists, and has started every playoff match during his time with the Rapids.
Cummings led the team with 14 goals in 2010 en route to the MLS Cup, and he was named an MLS all-star in 2011. Cummings has also played with the Jamaican National Team, making 28 appearances and scoring eight goals since his debut in June 2008.
