Ouray 5K. The Compassion 5K will take place in Ouray on May 28. This race starts in Ouray’s Felin Park and operates in conjunction with the Compassion Weekend in June, which raises funds for families in need in Ouray County. The course mostly follows the flat River Trail on the north side of Ouray along the Uncompaghre River. or 970-325-4981
Cortez Culture Fest. The 12th annual Indian Arts and Culture Festival takes place Saturday through June 3 in Cortez. The festival features events starting in Mesa Verde National Park, a juried American Indian art market, which features world-renowned artists from the Pueblo, Zuni, Hopi, Navajo, Ute and Apache tribes, and a Navajo rug seminar and auction.
