At least Denver got an NBA playoff consolation victory on television.

Game 7 on May 12, in which the Nuggets lost to the Lakers, was the second-most-viewed first-round playoff game in cable TV history.

TNT’s game produced 6.46 million national viewers, trailing only the Bulls-Celtics seventh game in 2007 (6.78 million viewers).

The last time the Lakers played a first-round seventh game on a Saturday night was in 2006, when they blew out the Phoenix Suns before a national TV audience of 4.71 million.
