TODAY Rockies at Marlins, 5:10 p.m., ROOT, 850 AM
Jamie Moyer is closing in on an exclusive 50-50 club. Tonight, the Rockies left-hander will make a start at new Marlins Park in Miami. It will be the 50th major-league ballpark Moyer has pitched in, another milestone in his remarkable career. Moyer, who turns 50 on Nov. 18, is coming off his best start of the season. In the Rockies’ 6-1 win over the Diamondbacks last Wednesday at Coors Field, he allowed one run and six hits and had five strikeouts and two walks in 6 ⅓ innings. The Marlins will start 33-year-old lefty Mark Buehrle, a former White Sox ace. Rockies right fielder Michael Cuddyer, a former Twin, has hit Buehrle well, going 33-for-104 (.317), including three homers and 10 doubles.
