FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A man who pleaded guilty to theft from a Fort Collins charter school and theater company has been ordered to pay $75,000 in restitution.

The Coloradoan reports () a judge also sentenced Matthew Shane Strauch, of Fort Collins, on Monday to four years in community corrections.

Strauch pleaded guilty earlier this year to stealing money from the Bas Bleu Theater and the T.R. Paul Academy of Arts and Knowledge. At the time of his arrest, he also was director of finance for the Associated Students of Colorado State University. He resigned.

Prosecutors say Strauch stole money from the theater and charter school to fund a lifestyle he otherwise couldn’t afford.
