COLORADO SPRINGS — A 2-year-old boy was seriously injured in a shooting Tuesday evening in southeast Colorado Springs, police said.
The child was reportedly shot in the chest but was expected to survive, Colorado Springs police said.
The 6:40 p.m. shooting occurred at the Dove Tree Apartment complex on Lionstone Drive, near Murray Boulevard and and East Bijou Street.
Police Lt. Adrian Vasquez said the shooting occurred in an apartment in building No. 335, and the boy’s parents as well as another adult were there at the time.
