AVON, Colo.—A fire has destroyed four condominiums and slightly injured two people in Avon.
Town officials say the fire on Monday also ignited a three-acre wildfire, which firefighters contained.
Three of the four units in the three-story complex were occupied. One occupant was treated at a hospital for smoke inhalation and released. A firefighter was treated at a clinic but the nature of the injury wasn’t immediately known.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Tenants of two adjacent buildings were evacuated.
More than a dozen fire departments, law enforcement agencies and others responded.
