Art, music and more

Art lovers and collectors won’t want to miss the 20th annual Art Students League’s Summer Art Market, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Works by the more than 270 members, students and faculty artists are included. Free art activities for children are offered along with demonstrations, live music, food and a wine garden. Books for days

The annual Gigantic Used Book Sale begins Thursday on the north lawn of the Denver Central Library. Shop more than 70,000 books, CDs, DVDs and audiobooks from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Prices start at $1. A “Family Fun Day” of activities is offered from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Teachers with a valid ID get a 25 percent discount the entire sale, and the Great Book Giveaway is 2-3 Sunday for teachers and nonprofits (with ID), who can take anything left for free. Sale prices on salvaged materials

Architectural Salvage Inc. specializes in antique architectural pieces from the 1880s through the 1930s. This month, everything in the showroom has been discounted including the unique selection of doors, windows, mantels, fireplaces, hardware, lighting and plumbing fixtures. A blueprint for sod

The Greeley Blues Jam is selling 40,000 square feet of sod from this year’s event for 15 cents per square foot on Sunday. You must purchase a minimum of 300 square feet and pick it up between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a forklift and operator available to load the sod onto your trailer. Sunday best

Sundays on the Streets Outdoor Market is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The urban street market features vendors selected for their artistic, handcrafted, original, local, sustainable and individually produced wares.
