DENVER—A former Democrat who ran as an unaffiliated state representative candidate and lost is trying again.

Former state Rep. Kathleen Curry was a Democrat before switching to unaffiliated in 2009. She lost the election following a dispute with party leaders.

According to the Denver Post ( ), Curry hopes to beat two Republicans, Debra Irvine of Breckenridge and David Justice of Gunnison; American Constitution Party member Robert Petrowsky of Leadville; and the incumbent Democrat, Rep. Millie Hammner of Dillon.
