ASPEN, Colo.—Aspen’s historic Smuggler Mine, which produced millions of dollars of high-grade silver ore and put Aspen on the map, is up for sale.
Owners are asking $9.5 million. The property includes access to more ore and two developable lots with expansive views of the town and Aspen Mountain.
According to the Aspen Times (), a group of seven partners is hoping that a buyer will embrace the mine’s historic significance and allow its longtime guides to continue offering Smuggler tours to schoolchildren and the public.
