Niwot-based Crocs has been looking for a new winner ever since sales began to lag on its mainstay clogs. Now it may have one with its entry into golf’s shoe market. With four models in multiple colors ranging in price from $89-$120, these shoes feature quality leather uppers, two inner soles for comfort and a thermo-polyurethane bottom sole that will wear for a long time. In addition, Crocs is coming out with a new model in September that will incorporate soft spikes — a good upgrade for better players.

This is a serious effort in a category of the market that has been taken over by Adidas, Puma and Nike. The Crocs brand also won the best new product at the PGA show last January. Distribution is in the works.
