Sheridan police are looking for a woman who allegedly tried to snatch a 2-year-old child from a playground at an apartment complex today.

The woman dropped the little boy when the child’s mother saw the woman carrying the child toward a white van idling nearby. She and a man driving the van sped off from the complex in the 4300 block of South Lowell Boulevard at about 2:45 p.m.

The woman was described as Asian, about 30 years old, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, about 120 pounds with dark, shoulder-length hair.

The only description of the man driving the van driver was that he was African-American.

The van was white had two rear doors that had windows and possibly had a temporary license plate.
