Rascal Flatts just added a Colorado date to its “Changed” summer tour — which is good news for not only fans of that chart-topping pop-country trio but openers Little Big Town, Eli Young Band and Edens Edge. Be prepared for the on-sale date, as the band proved its massive draw last weekend by selling out 45,000 tickets at its Boston and Hartford, Conn., shows to kick off the tour. Passes for the Sept. 8 concert at Comfort Dental Amphitheatre are available at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($25-$65, )

Morrissey has consistently thrown Colorado love on his occasional North American tours, but it’s especially exciting to see him announce a show at the stately Ellie Caulkins Opera House, since the Moz tends to benefit from quieter, more staid venues. Tickets for the Nov. 3 concert with Kristeen Young are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($39.50-$75, Ticketmaster)

Jackson Browne has played a number of dramatic shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre over the years, but for his fall 2012 tour he’s keeping it solo and acoustic. He and opener Sara Watkins will stop by Denver’s Paramount Theatre on Nov. 14 and the Pikes Peak Center to end the tour on Nov. 15, with tickets on sale for both shows at 10 a.m. today. ($45.50-$99.50, TicketHorse and TicketsWest)

The Motet is beating the usual horde of cover-themed shows that take place around Halloween with news this week of its Oct. 26-27 sets at the Ogden Theatre and its Oct. 31 show at the Boulder Theater — at all of which it will play Parliament-Funkadelic tunes and feature a four-piece horn section. Tickets for the Boulder show are on sale at 10 a.m. today; tickets for the Denver shows are available at 10 a.m. tomorrow. ($25-$30 or $45 for both Denver shows, and )

LCD Soundsystem is no more (at least until they reunite, right?) but fans can see band leader James Murphy and DFA label cohort/LCD Soundsystem percussionist Pat Mahoney deliver a full DJ set at the Boulder Theater on Aug. 2. Tickets are on sale. ($25-$27.50, )

Alice Cooper lives! The canny showman, a.k.a. 64-year-old Vincent Damon Furnier, has been rocking and shocking since the late ’60s, and however improbable it may seem, he’s showing no signs of stopping. The band — and the man — will stop by the Paramount Theatre on Nov. 23 to promote last year’s collaboration-heavy “Welcome 2 My Nightmare.” Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($39.50-$55, TicketHorse)
