Dance: Hannah Kahn steps up to the Dairy

FRIDAY-Saturday. The title of Hannah Kahn Dance’s latest program seems apt, given the brew of styles and time periods represented. “Mixtures and Solutions and Other Dances” finds the 36-year-old Denver dance company premiering two new works — the hectic “Overlap” and the more staid, string music-driven “Untethered” — and reprising four others, including the 2011 title piece. Among the featured works is “Resonance” (1982), a jagged piece set to atonal brass music by Elliott Carter that was reconstructed with the help of a video of the original cast (a.k.a. Kahn’s New York company), and featuring eight dancers from Kahn’s current 14-member company. All are Boulder premieres. 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday. The Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut St. in Boulder. $18-$22. 303-444-7328 or .
