Fly ‘n Paws Dog Agility

When: 5-10 p.m., July 2

What: Fly ‘n Paws Dog Agility

This class, the first of a series to be held throughout
2012, will teach your pooch how to increase his
speed and agility and improve his training overall.

Run 4 the 4th

When: 8 a.m., July 4

Where: Douglas County Events Center

Cost: $25, $10 for youths

What: This Independence Day fun run starts at
the county events center and goes east along Plum
Creek to Gilbert. It’s 4 miles and participants are
welcome to run or walk at their leisure. The fee
includes a T-shirt, a buffet brunch, beverages and
prizes for winners among various age groups. All
proceeds benefit the athletic programs at Castle
View High School and Douglas County High

What: Stop by the Lennar Open House at Red
Hawk for refreshments and visit single-family
homes from the high $300’s nestled around the
Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course.
