Singer Stevie Nicks has confirmed is planning to reunite next year, she said during an appearance
Nicks said a 2013 tour is in the works, once she and bandmate Lindsey Buckingham finish their current solo tours. But everyone is “on board” for the reunion.
The group had planned to reunite last year, , but were delayed due to members’ solo pursuits. So, here we are again.
It remains unclear if Christine McVie will return; She left the band in 1998 and hasn’t been present at previous reunions. Fleetwood Mac last toured as a four-member ensemble in 2009 with Nicks, Buckingham, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie.
Nicks also spoke about former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Welch, who committed suicide in June.
“I can’t even tell you what in the world would have pushed him to do something that crazy,” she said on the show.
A new tribute album, “Just Tell Me That You Want Me: A Tribute To Fleetwood Mac”, will be r on Starbucks label Hear Music/Concord. The album features covers from artists including Best Coast, Lykke Li, The Kills and MGMT. -Kelsey Fowler
