
A Loveland man whose pickup drifted onto the shoulder of a rural Thornton road and killed two pedestrians was charged Monday with careless driving resulting in death.
The driver, 34-year-old Michael Grennan, was allegedly “operating his cellphone” when the accident happened in March, according to a news release from the Adams County District Attorney’s office. After the crash, police initially reported that Grennan . Grennan’s family .
The accident happened around noon on March 31 in the 3500 block of East 168th Ave. Grennan, his family said, was driving to work at the time.
The accident killed Brighton residents Stephen Dabney, 33, and Seth Lewis, 22. After the crash, Dabney’s father-in-law said Dabney’s family .
A third pedestrian, 14-year-old Jarren Lewis, was injured in the accident, for which Grennan is also facing a charge of careless driving resulting in injury.
Grennan’s first court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 27.
