And yet sometimes it’s not uncommon to spend upward of $3-$4 for a single taco. While many of these fancy confections are delicious, it seems like we’ve gotten lost somewhere along the way from the basic ground beef taco to … whatever that is on our plate.
If you’re done with the fancy stuff and need a solid, back-to-basics grounding, Tacos y Salsas has your back. The colorful local chain has long been celebrated for its consistent dishes, its peppery green chile and its multiple locations. It even has a downtown location at 1531 Stout St. — a treat for urban workers and dwellers.
But do they have tacos?
Of course. And they’re a treat. The beef is succulent, and the other meaty fillings are tasty. The veggies are plentiful. And the serve-yourself salsa bar makes for a choose-your-own-adventure with every bite.
