will visit the Walmart in Kodiak, Ala. after the store’s Facebook page received the most “likes” in a recent contest.

Walmart ran a promotion where the store with the most likes on Facebook as of Monday would win a visit from the rapper. had more than 70,000 likes (for some perspective, the  for the Walmart on Smith Road in Denver currently has 331 likes).

David Thorpe, Boston Phoenix and somethingawful.comɰٱ, to send Pitbull to the most remote location possible, namely the Kodiak store. The hashtag #ExilePitbull quickly sprung up on Twitter, garnering likes on the page from people worldwide.

Pitbull will visit the store sometime later this month. Details of the visit are still being organized.

Walmart spokeswoman Sarah Spencer  that Pitbull will “definitely be meeting the community and store associates.”

Kodiak is a small island, known, and named, for its Kodiak brown bear population. Pitbull tweeted, “I hear there’s bear repellant at Kodiak, Alaska”. Spencer said staffers would likely have some for him as a gift.

“I would go anywhere in the world for my fans,” he says in the video announcement from Tuesday.
