The body of a hiker who died in the Colorado mountains was recovered Tuesday morning, according to the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office.
Members of Mountain Rescue Aspen spotted the body of Leonard Joyner, of New York, at about 8:15 a.m. on the North Maroon Peak, the sheriff’s office said in a media release.
Joyner’s body was recovered from the mountain and taken to Glenwood Springs. His family and colleagues have been notified of the death.
