ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—A look at Peyton Manning’s day at Denver Broncos training camp:

PEYTON’S PLACE: Manning looked good again although it was difficult to do much inside the team’s bubble after lightning drove the Broncos indoors.

HOW’D HE DO?: Manning didn’t miss a beat. He barked at some of his receivers for not hustling back after one drill early on, showing he’s always on point no matter the situation. He completed almost every pass he threw, whether it was short to Willis McGahee or long to Eric Decker.

TALKING MANNING:

“If we sit there, he’ll pick us apart and if we show a blitz too early he’s on top of it and makes a check. Usually that play goes for a big gain. So, you know it’s always helpful to have a quarterback like that. He’s coaching us when we’re out there playing.”—Wesley Woodyard on how Manning is making Denver’s linebackers better.
