• Level 3 Communications Inc. announced that it has been selected by MacNeil/Lehrer Productions, which produces “PBS NewsHour” and PBS Convention coverage, to provide live, high-definition video feeds of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
• AspenBio Pharma Inc. of Castle Rock, announced that it has executed a license agreement with a international animal health company, providing license and sub-license rights to AspenBio’s entire animal health portfolio. Under the license agreement AspenBio will receive license fees of approximately $1 million and milestone payments totaling $2 million tied to specified development and regulatory achievements and royalties on licensed product sales.
• BlogFrog, a Boulder-based provider of influencer marketing technology, announced it has established an office in New York City to serve brand marketers, advertising and public relations agencies. BlogFrog recently closed a $3.2 million round of funding, doubling its workforce and launching its Influencer Marketing platform.
• Jack in the Box restaurants in Denver will donate 20 percent of all sales on Tuesday to the Bonfils Blood Center, in appreciation of the assistance Bonfils provided to victims of the Aurora theater tragedy.
• Centennial-based JoshuaTree Real Estate has changed its name to Trelora Real Estate.
• CenturyLink Inc. will accept $35 million from the Federal Communications Commission’s Connect America Fund to deploy broadband service to 45,000 homes in unserved rural areas in multiple states. In Colorado, the company will receive more than $6 million to bring service to more than 8,000 homes.
• Janus will host its third-annual Community School Supply Drive from July 30 through August 17 to benefit Denver Public Schools. Janus has set up 17 collection sites located at Cherry Creek businesses to collect school supplies and cash.
