FORT CARSON, Colo.—Fort Carson’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team is getting a new commander.
Col. Omar Jones will formally take over the brigade at a ceremony Tuesday at the infantry post outside Colorado Springs.
Jones was most recently at the National War College in Washington, where he received a master’s degree in national security strategy.
He replaces Col. John S. Kolasheski (KOH-lah-SHES-kee), who led the brigade for nearly three years. Kolasheski will become senior Army fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.
The brigade is part of the 4th Infantry Division.
