DENVER—Three top University of Colorado public administrators being paid to lobby on the CU system’s behalf have made hundreds of thousands of dollars a year working on the side lobbying for other organizations.
According to The Denver Post ( ), CU vice president for government relations Tanya Kelly-Bowry, director of federal relations David Sprenger and former senior adviser of government relations Todd Saliman were paid from state and private funds.
University officials say the practices are legal and don’t violate any rules.
Kelly-Bowry is part of the Denver-based executive staff of the four-campus CU system.
