BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder County is considering rules that would allow providers of farm dinners and other rural gatherings to avoid permits if they meet certain conditions.
The so-called farm-to-table events have grown in popularity in Colorado. Many providers currently need special county approval.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), county officials believe other farms are offering the dinners without any permits.
Under proposed new rules, events could not occur before 9 a.m. or after 10 p.m. and could not last for more than six hours. The farm also could only hold six events a year, and the majority of food served at the events would have to be grown on the farm.
