GREELEY, Colo.—A Weld County man convicted of killing a man with a rock has been sentenced to nine years in prison.
Prosecutors say Dominick Ramirez threw a 14-pound rock off his apartment balcony after a fight with 60-year-old Larry Pino last year. Pino was struck in the head and later died.
A Weld County jury convicted Ramirez of manslaughter in June. He was sentenced Friday.
Pino’s son, Absalom, was convicted this month of beating Ramirez after the altercation involving Ramirez and Larry Pino.
