STERLING, Colo.—Two women have been arrested after the shootings of two people at a gas station southwest of Sterling, and an arrest warrant has been issued for a third person.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says Leticia Hernandez of Greeley and Monica Pena of Evans were arrested on suspicion of assault, attempted murder and other charges in Sunday’s shooting in Atwood.
Authorities said Tuesday they also are seeking 25-year-old Joseph Robert Bernal of Greeley on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder.
The victims were identified as Jared Sanchez and Eric Morales. Their hometowns and conditions were not available.
Investigators are trying to determine how or if the suspects know the victims and what led to the shootings.
