Someone could get very lucky in Wednesday night’s multi-state Powerball drawing. The jackpot has grown to $320 million, the fourth largest windfall on record.
Officials with the Colorado State Lottery said the winning ticket would be worth an estimated $213.3 million in cash.
If no one wins the jackpot Wednesday, lottery officials estimate the prize for Saturday’s drawing could grow greater than $400 million, which would be the largest Powerball jackpot ever.
The current record for the largest Powerball prize is $365 million won six years ago in Lincoln, Neb.
The drawing will be held at 8:59 p.m. MST on Wednesday.
