BOULDER — Barring injuries, junior David Bakhtiari (left tackle), sophomore Alex Lewis (left guard), junior Gus Handler (center), sophomore Daniel Munyer (right guard) and junior Jack Harris (right tackle) will open the season as the starting offensive linemen.
There’s not a senior among that group, but they do have 40 starts between them (22 from Bakhtiari). The primary backup is Ryan Dannewitz, the only senior among the team’s 14 offensive linemen. He made 11 starts in 2011.
Among the other eight, seven are freshmen, including four true freshmen. The other is sophomore Kaiwi Crabb, who played just 77 offensive snaps in 2011.
